7 tips to make your nail healthy and strong

Your nails protect the tip of your finger and toes. Nails are one of the most attractive parts of your personality. Strong and beautiful nails make you more beautiful. Fingernails also tell a lot about the health condition of a human being. For example, if you have changed the colour of fingernail then you are suffering from malnutrition. Small white patches on your finger can signal the skin condition psoriasis. It also a fact that your nails get weaker and dull due to improper care, harsh environment, your daily activity and your unhealthy diet. As nails and hair are made from a protein called keratin. As we moisturize our face daily same way we should also apply lotion or oil into your hands. But what we usually forget is, moisturizing our nails and cuticles. So make sure, you also apply lotion or oil on your nails and cuticles properly. It is a fact that regular hand washing and use of sanitizers, make your nails more dry and brittle. So, do proper massage to your nails and cuticles in order to get shinning healthy nails.

2.  Clean your nails

Cleaning is one of the most important parts of Nail care. The reason for dirty nails is bad habits, polluted environment and working culture. These all add to dirty nails. So, don’t let Bactria and germs settled under your nails. If you want a shinning and strong nail, do the cleaning of your nails daily.

You can apply soap to your old toothbrush and gently scrub your nail and cuticles. This will clean your nail and make them dirt free.

Stains on nails and yellowish colour might be the reason for excessive uses of dark colour nail polishes. If your nails get damaged, it will take up to 1 year to nails to turn its normal colour.

Most nail polish remover available in the market contains a harmful chemical called acetone which is very dangerous to your health.  You can also use toothpaste to remove nail colour. Apply a small amount of white toothpaste on your nails then do scrubbing with the help of an old toothbrush. This work well to remove the nail colour.

  • Take 2 tsp castor oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp wheat germ oil
  • Mix it and keep in a sealed bottle
  • Apply a small amount of mixture on your nail
  • Leave it for  4 to 5 min
  • Wipe off with water
  • Do it daily to get a strong and shining nail.
